A $235,000 grant was awarded to an interdisciplinary team at the University of Georgia. The Vera Institute of Justice awarded grants to UGA and Washington State University to pilot their planned vision of the Rural Jails Research and Policy Network. These grants will allow the universities to partner with local rural jurisdictions to develop programs and make better informed policy decisions.
